The veteran OPM singer Richard Reynoso criticized the performance of the Teen King’s Daniel Padilla during the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.
RICHARD REYNOSO – Teen King Daniel Padilla’s performance during the coronation night of the Bb. Pilipinas 2017 pageant has received a constructive criticism from the veteran singer Richard Reynoso.
According to his post on his Facebook account, he had noticed that the way Padilla sings “The way you look tonight” is kind of out of tune.
Binibining Plipinas is the much-awaited pageant in the country as this pageant will determine the one who is going to represent the Philippines on the international beauty contest, Miss Universe.
And the candidates during the moment they walked their evening gowns was serenaded by the singers Jay R, Daryl Ong, Jason Dy and Daniel Padilla.
However, the performance of the teen king seems not to impress the veteran singer.
Based on his post, he said, “Iba na talaga ang panahon ngayon. Dati, pag kumakanta ka sa ‘beauty pageant’, hinaharana mo yung mga kandidata and make them feel na sila ang pinakamagandang babae at that very moment. Ngayon, mukhang backdrop na lang ang mga kandidata at di na din yata required na nasa tono ka sa pagkanta.”

(Time now is really different. Before, when you sing in a beauty pageant, you serenade them to make them beautiful. Now, the candidates looked like a backdrop and seems the singer’s not require to sing in tune.)
The singer knew from the very start that his statement is going to be noticed by the fans of the actor but he says that it is just his personal opinion and that it was just a ‘constructive criticism’.
As reported by the Bandera Inquirer, he stated that he had already the reactions of the fans but he just needs to be true and that is his opinion.
Moreover, base on the post of the actor, he did not directly pertained that it was Daniel Padilla but the fans had already concluded for it was the teen king who serenaded the candidates thus, making the issue bigger.
