Must Read : Among the thousand of women who aspires to be a beauty queen, 40 contestants were lucky enough to take the stage but only 6 beauties were crowned.

Based on the report  of the The Philippine Star, this years pageant of Binibining Pilipinas was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Here are the winners who took  the crowns in the said pageant:

RACHEL PETERS (#19) – MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2017

From the Camarines Sur, Peters was also  held as the fourth Princess on Miss World 2014 and is currently in a relationship with the governor of the place she is representing, Governor Migz Villafuerte.

The 25-year-old beauty queen had concluded International Baccalaureate at the British School in Phuket, Thailand and has a bachelors degree in business majoring in Tourism and events.

On  the Question and Answer Portion, she was asked of her opinion about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit which was recently  held  at the Philippines, a part of her answer states that if only people will  learn to tolerate of each other then each will be a stronger nation.

She  won  P500, 000 worth of contract from Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI); P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon sponsorship; 18 months of gym membership; a full scholarship; and an exclusive brand ambassadorship contract with PLDT.

She also had  special awards such as  Best in Swimsuit and Jag Denim Queen.

MARIA ANGELICA DE LEON (#15) – BINIBINING PILIPINAS INTERNATONAL 2017

The beauty queen is the daughter of the artists Chrstopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong.

On Q and A  potion, she was asked on what activity she excelled in that was traditionally dominated by men, she answered, ” “In anything I do, I can excel over men. It’s not about gender, but about your strength, your ability, and your confidence, and with that, you can achieve anything.”

As prizes she had received P500, 000 worth of contract from BPCI; P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon and gym sponsorship; and a full scholarship.

Special awards were given to her which includes Miss Cream Silk and Best in Long Gown.

CHANEL OLIVE THOMAS (#22) – BINIBINING PILIPIAS SUPRANATIONAL 2017

She is from Nueva Ecija and is a model, host and aspiring motivational speaker.

Thomas was asked during the Q and A segment abut her stand in if to legalize or not the same ex marriage in the country and she had answered, “As a Christian, I believe in the sacred union between a man and a woman. However, I do believe that everyone deserves to be with who they want to be and if they want to get married, that’s fine.”

as Miss Supranational 2017 she will receive P500, 000 worth of contract from BPCI; P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon and gym sponsorship; and a full scholarship.

She is the Binibini Friendship and Best in National Costume.

ELIZABETH CLENCI (#39) – BINIBINING PILIPINAS GRAND INTERNATIONAL 2017

She  is from Mandaue City of Cebu and she was asked by Ted Failon, one of the judges, if what she does during traffic and she answered  that she  either sleeps  or read.

She won P500, 000 worth of contract from BPCI; P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon and gym sponsorship; and a full scholarship.

KATARINA RODRIGUEZ (#31) – BNIBINING PILIPINAS CONTINENTAL 2017

She is from Davao City and is a fitness instructor.

When she  was asked her definition of winner, her answer states that  somebody who does not only reap rewards but “understands how to execute the job” and is also “inspiring, brave, and so ever curious.”

She got  P500, 000 worth of contract from BPCI; P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon and gym sponsorship; and a full scholarship.

NELDA IBE (#18) – BINIBINING PILIPINAS GLOBE 2017

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English  Literature and she had won P500, 000 worth of contract from BPCI; P500,000 worth of endorsement contract; complete wardrobe sponsorship from BPCI; insurance; 18 months of salon sponsorship; 18 months of gym membership; and a full scholarship.
