Billiards is said to be put inside the school premises for the students.
BILLIARDS – The sports billiards are now thought of by the Department of Education to be put inside educational institutions for students to avoid being absent from their cl(–foul word(s) removed–).
Based upon the report of the ABS-CBN News, the DepEd thinks that putting the said sports inside the school campus is a solution in order to lessen the number of absences of students from their cl(–foul word(s) removed–) who are involved in the sports.
Nowadays, places where students could play the sport of balls and stick were built just few meters away from the school. The reason why students chooses to play and have fun instead of attending their cl(–foul word(s) removed–).
And addiction to the sports does not only make student skip their class, sometimes it goes along to one of the reasons why they would drop out from school.
And to avoid such unfortunate incident, DepEd was thinking of putting it inside the school with the fact that after three years of being a demo sports, it was now included in this year’s Palarong Pambansa held at San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.
As mentioned in the report, Jofran Nyl Tupas of Negros Occidental, the tournament director of billiards competition, stated that the Department of Education is persuading them to buy billiards table which had received a positive response from the teachers.
“We are putting billiards inside the school para ‘yung mga manlalaro natin hindi na lalabas. Para ‘yung pagte-training natin hindi na lalabas,” stated Tupas.
(We are putting billiards inside the school so that the players won’t have to go out during training.)
Teachers that is coaching the sports were happy to know by the decision of the department just like Ryan Dinero, coach of SOCCSKSARGEN, of whom as well stated that Palaro showed to people that the stated sports is not that bad at all.
