According to the report of the News Max, the lawyer of Dr. David Dao had announced on Thursday that the doctor settled with the United in an undisclosed amount.

It was mentioned in the said report that the agreement includes the confidentiality of the amount.

And because of that, Thomas Demetrio, legal adviser of the doctor, praised Oscar Munoz, United’s CEO for being true to his words of doing the right thing.

In addition, Demetrio even said in a statement that the company has ‘taken full responsibility for what happened without attempting to blame others, including the city of Chicago’.

The doctor suffered loss of teeth, a broken nose and a concussion when he was dragged along the aisle by the called authorities.

He is already 69 years old and a father of five children.

The New York Times even reported that the settlement was by the United spokesman Charles Hobart. The report even told that crew members will not replace aboard passengers.

Lawyer of the doctor announced that Dao is planning to have a surgery on his nose.

According to the previous report, the said incident was filmed through a cellular phone and got viral the moment it was uploaded on social media.

It was uploaded by one of the passengers named Aura D. Bridges and the said incident ignited rage from the public.

The dragged passenger was forcibly dragged out from his seat after refusing to give his chair to the four employees of the sister company of the airlines.

The incident arose because of the overbook issue in Flight 3411 departing from the Chicago O’ Hare Airport bound to Louisville, Kentucky.
