U.S. Pres. Trump confirmed his visit to the Philippines.
TRUMP – United States President Donald Trump confirmed through phone that he will be in the Philippines later this year.
The protocols chief ambassador of the Malacañang Palace, Marciano Paynor, expressed that the U.S. President made the verbal confirmation during a phone call with Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte based on a report in MSN News.
According to the report, the newly-elected leader of U.S. is eyed to be one of those who will come to participate in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting which will be in November.

Based on the report, other leaders from the region will be attending the summit which will be held seven months from now.
The relationship between the United States and the Philippines were rumored to be challenged last year. Undeniably, the Pres. Duterte has been very vocal and has even thrown tirades against former U.S. Pres. Barack Obama.
It is also during the 72-year-old Philippine President’s term that the joint military exercises of American and Filipino troops were prevented as Pres. Duterte did not like it. He saw it as something more favorable on the part of U.S.
Meanwhile, reportedly, Pres. Duterte called U.S. Pres. Trump to congratulate him as the new leader of U.S. According to the Philippine President, Pres. Trump has invited him to visit the White House.
Based on a previous news report, Pres. Trump has expressed his full support to the Philippine leader in the midst of criticisms by the advocates of human rights.
According to the U.S. leader, Pres. Duterte should neglect and ignore those people who are against him. He also expressed an encouragement for Pres. Duterte to stand firm for the Filipinos who believe in him.
Moreover, it is stated in the report that Pres. Trump said that human rights group will always accuse others without analyzing the present situation.
