Certified Kapamilya Facebook page hinted that Maja Salvador will portray the role of next Darna.
In a Facebook post, the page gave some hint that an actress with a name that starts with letter “M” is set to don the red and gold costume of the iconic hero.

Angel Locsin was supposed to star in the upcoming Star Cinema movie but due to a spine injury, she cannot bring life Darna once again.
The reported injury prevents the actress upon playing the titular komiks superheroine which she top-billed on Kapuso Network.
Aside from Maja Salvador, other homegrown artists of ABS-CBN including Nadine Lustre, Liza Soberano and Jessy Mendiola have been rumored to star in the project. However, there has been no official announcement yet.
