80-Year-Old Man Makes Wooden Bikes From Recycled Materials

Out of recycled materials, Renerio Colina, dubbed as the “innovative wood bike maker” is making a name for himself upon building wooden bikes.

The 80-year-old resident of Barangay Subangdako, Mandaue City in Cebu is currently making rounds online particularly in social media for his one of a kind invention.

His invention did not only caught the attention of the residents of his locality but also the netizens.

Based upon the report of ABS-CBNNews.com, Colina make wooden bikes using several pieces of wood and other recycled materials.

At his young age, Colina has been noticed of having potential in crafting and woodworking.

According to his sibling Melchor, Colina earns by selling his wooden bikes at P250 each. His invention is now popular in nearby barangays of Mandaue City.

Meanwhile, aside from Colina, a grade 9 student of from Lipa City Batangas is also making a name for himself upon making perfectly crafted toys out of recycled materials.

John Paul Valencia, 9th-grade student of Lodlod National High School makes unique toys from used materials, which one might think made by a professional toy maker.

At first, John Paul Valencia only wanted to make toys so that he could have something to display at their house but eventually, it gained the attention of his classmates and teachers.

 

John Paul Valencia makes toys out of used cardboard and some recycled materials such as wheels from an old toy car which he got from his cousin.

One of the favorite toys of the Grade 9 student is a police vehicle. He added that he would like to become a police officer someday.
