Duterte: ‘Wala pa naman ako kasalanan sa Pilipino. Ano bang kasalanan ko sa inyo?’

CAMPAIGN PROMISES -Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, during a media briefing at the Malacañang Palace, emphasized his desire to fulfill his promises during the election campaign.

Based on a news report in Phil Star Global, Pres. Duterte spoke before the press and emphasized his responsibility as the president of the country and as well as his desire to fulfill his promises during the election campaign.

According to the 71-year-old Chief Executive, he is just w0rking and doing his job. He stressed that he has not done the Filipinos any wrong yet.

“Wala pa naman ako kasalanan sa Pilipino. Ano bang kasalanan ko sa inyo? Pagpatay ng kriminal? Ano pa? Anong ninakaw ko? Kasi nagtatrabaho lang ako,” the President said based on the report.

Furthermore, based on the report, the President stressed that his promises during the election campaign period were to put an end to the presence of illegal drugs and corruption in the country.

According to Pres. Duterte, he has to fulfill what he has vowed he will do. The 71-year-old President also asserted that no extrajudicial killings happen based on the report.

He even expressed that the people can ask some police authorities in Manila if there was a time that he has ordered to kill somebody. The “government will continue with its campaign” according to Pres. Duterte.

Based on the report, the Chief Executive expressed that the people are free to criticize him, Senate President Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III, and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez. The two were also firm on stopping corruption according to the President.

Moreover, Pres. Duterte said that the people are free to go on streets against him but he is sure on doing his campaign promises which have to do with stopping corruption, illegal drugs, and criminality.

The war on drugs campaign of the Duterte administration has sparked lots of news headlines and elicited various reactions. There are those who agree to it while there are those who are against it.

Based on a previous news report, Pres. Duterte has once expressed, despite a thick pile of papers containing the names of alleged drug users, that there is no stepping back on the fight against the illegal drugs.
