LANI – Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado shared that her husband former Sen. Bong Revilla sent Sen. Leila De Lima chocolates with a note.

The detainment of Sen. Leila De Lima at Camp Crame continues to spark news headlines. Recently, a news report entailing that former Sen. Bong Revilla who is also detained in Camp Crame sent the lady senator chocolates broke in.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the wife of former Sen. Revilla, Lani Mercado, shared that her husband and Sen. De Lima has not yet met but he has sent her “chocolates with a note”.

Lani expressed that they were told that the lady Senator is not yet ready.

Moreover, according to the report, the wife of the former Senator expressed their willingness to have the lady Senator with them in their prayer service as her detention cell is not far from the cell of the husband of the mayor of Bacoor.

Based on the news report, a plunder case against Sen. Revilla over an alleged misuse of the funds of the government was filed against the Senator during the time when the secretary of the Department of Justice was now-Sen. Leila De Lima.

“Mabait ang asawa ko. Yun lang ang masasabi ko. He has a good heart,” the Bacoor Mayor added after sharing that her husband sent the lady Senator “chocolates with a note” based on the report.

Lani also expressed that anyone is “welcome” to visit her husband.

Based on a previous news report, it was the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204 which issued warrants of arrest against Sen. De Lima, Ronnie Dayan, and Rafael Ragos.

Dayan is the former driver, bodyguard, and lover of the lady Senator. Reportedly, he is also the alleged “bagman” of Sen. De Lima who is now facing allegations of her involvement in the drug trade way back when she was the justice secretary.

The lady Senator is currently detained in Philippine National Police Custodial Center now in Camp Crame. Based on another previous report, PNP Chief Director Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa has already visited the neophyte lawmaker.

Based on the report, the PNP Chief assured the lady Senator of her safety in her detainment cell. PNP Chief Bato also expressed that Sen. De Lima has welcomed him.
