According to the news report, the Senator claimed that there are “no plots” of removing the 71-year-old Chief Executive from office through a coup d’etat.

Aside from Sen. Leila De Lima, Sen. Trillanes is another staunch critic of Pres. Duterte. Reportedly, he has even said that the Philippines is “in a mess right now” as the president is not suited for the position.

According to the news report, the Senator tagged it as “a good thing” to remove a national leader who has killed lots of people from the post.

“It should be a proud moment for our country to rectify the mistake made during the last elections,” the Senator said.

Based on a previous news report, Sen. Trillanes made an admission that they have “profile” the then-Mayor of Davao City. He claimed that he discovered that Mr. Duterte has ordered killings during his term as Davao City Mayor and as well as “amassed wealth”.

The Senator said that the Mr. Duterte is not qualified to lead the country based on the information that he has. According to the report, he is now working on letting the people know about the information that he has.

“We have 8,000 people killed already and that explains all of these things,” the Senator said according to the report.

Pres. Duterte is currently facing allegations of ordering killings during his term as Davao City Mayor. Recently, SPO3 Arthur Lascañas, expressed his claims against the President.

According to the retired police officer who is described by self-confessed ‘hitman’ Edgar Matobato as very close to Mr. Duterte, he had ordered his group to kill a radio broadcaster, Jun Pala.

Based on the report, P3 million were given to his group for killing the radio broadcaster. Lascañas recent claim goes contrary to his stand during the hearing held on October wherein he denied the existence of the so-called Davao Death Squad.
