Sen. Trillanes cites the reason why the Philippines is “in a mess right now”.
TRILLANES CITES – Senator Antonio Trillanes IV expressed his claim on the reason why the Philippines is “in a mess right now”.
Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, Sen. Trillanes, speaking to ANC’s ‘Headstart’, said that the reason why the “country is in a mess right now” is that because the people have a leader who is “not fit to hold office”.
When asked by reporter Karen Davila if he really wanted Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte to be removed from his post, the lawmaker uttered “definitely yes” in case the Chief Executive would be proven guilty of killings.
Aside from Sen. Leila De Lima who is now currently detained in Camp Crame, Sen. Trillanes is another vocal critic of Pres. Duterte.
Based on the news report, the Senator admitted that they “profiled” the former Mayor of Davao City in 2015. He claimed that he discovered that the former Davao City Mayor has taken lives and paid others to kill. He even emphasized that other people who lost their lives were “innocent people”.
Moreover, the senator claimed that he found out that Mr. Duterte has “amassed wealth”.
According to the Senator, based on the information that he has, Mr. Duterte is disqualified to lead the nation.
“We have 8,000 people killed already and that explains all of these things,” the Senator expressed. Sen. Trillanes also added that he is now working on public awareness regarding the information that he has.
The issue regarding the alleged killings during the term of Mr. Duterte as Davao City Mayor has continued to be one of the talks in the political arena and the country.
Based on a previous news report, the self-confessed ‘hitman’ of Pres. Duterte way back when he was still the mayor of Davao City felt happy after SPO3 Arthur Lascañas revealed his claims against Pres. Duterte.
Matobato said that Lascañas, who is like a brother to him, is very close to Mr. Duterte.
Reportedly, the retired police officer claimed that the then-Davao City Mayor has ordered his group to kill some targets.
According to Lascañas, the death of radio broadcaster Jun Pala in 2003 was due to the order of Mr. Duterte who was so angry at the broadcaster for he always attacks him in his radio station.
The retired cop said that his group was paid P3 million for the killing of the broadcaster.
