PNP Warned Drug Users On The Revival Of War On Drugs

Philippine National Police (PNP) warned the drug users that their happy hour now comes to an end after President Duterte announced that war on drugs is back.

President Rodrigo Duterte announced that PNP will restore the anti-illegal drug campaign. This time the war on drugs will be more effective and strictly implemented nationwide after it was temporarily suspended last month.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said in an interview that they have received several reports from some barangay in the city that drug addicts went back to their respective operations.

Previously, PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa announced that war on drugs will be temporarily suspended because PNP will conduct an internal cleansing. The internal cleansing will dismiss erring corrupt police officers from their post.

Eleazar warned the drug users in the city that their happy hour will come to an end since the campaign against illegal drugs were restored. He also ensured that the system of war on drugs operations will be more effective.

“Pansamantalang suspensyon lamang naman po (ang ipinatupad), at sa amin pong pagbabalik layon namin na maging mas epektibo kami. After their happy hour, we will strike back,” said by Eleazar quoted by Radyo Inquirer.
