The Palace declares several days as special holidays in specific areas this month.

PALACE DECLARES – MarchĀ 2, 7, 8, 17, 21 & 24, 2017 are special non-working holidays in specific areas this March as declared by theĀ MalacaƱang Palace.

Recently, a news update entailing the list of special holidays this March in specific areas broke in. The declaration was made through Proclamation No. 153 to 160 series of 2017.

It is due to the celebrations of some important events in specific areas that March Ā 2, 7, 8, 17, 21 & 24, 2017 were declared as special non-working holidays by the Palace.

According to the news report, the Palace expressed that it is appropriate for the people of the specific areas to be given the full chance to celebrate the said important events in their places.

The following are the list of the special non-working holidays and the events celebrated in specific areas:

Proclamation No. 153 – March 2, 2017 (Thursday) Ā is a special non-working holiday in La Union Province as its 167th Founding Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 154 – March 7, 2017 (Tuesday) is a special non-working holiday in Island Garden City of Samal as the Charter Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 155 – March 7, 2017 (Tuesday) is a special non-working holiday in the Province of Basilan as its 43rd Founding Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 156 – March 17, 2017 (Friday) is a special non-working holiday in Municipality of Tayug, Pangasinan Province as its Founding Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 157 – March 21, 2017 (Tuesday) is a special non-working holiday in the City of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro as its 19th Founding Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 158 – February 28, 2017 (Tuesday) is a special non-working holiday in Tangub City for the celebration of its Charter Day.

Proclamation No. 159 – March 8, 2017 (Wednesday) is a special non-working holiday in the Province of Compostela Valley as its 10th “Bulawan Festival” and 19th Foundation Anniversary will be celebrated.

Proclamation No. 160 – March 24, 2017Ā (Friday) is a special non-working holiday in Tabaco City, Albay Province as its Founding Anniversary will be celebrated.
