Escudero On Dela Rosa: ‘Bakit wala syang pinag-push up o sinigawan o minura sa Crame?’

Sen. Escudero commented on the order of PNP Chief Bato dela Rosa for cops to do stationary a push-up.

ESCUDERO – Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero commented on the order of Philippine National Police Chief Director Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa to seven policemen.

In a previous news report, it is stated that PNP Chief dela Rosa chided the policemen who were allegedly involved in the robbery of three Koreans in Angeles City. There were seven cops who are allegedly involved in the incident.

Based on the report, PNP Chief Bato was disappointed and has even questioned the cops on why did they become police officers.

“Nagpulis kayo para mapahiya yung uniform? You became policemen to embarrass the uniform?],” PNP Chief dela Rosa questioned to the men in uniform.

Furthermore, according to the report, the PNP Chief asked a policeman on why did he join the alleged operation. The cop responded that it is a legitimate operation. The PNP Chief then questioned them if it is legitimate to put the money in pockets and to beat.

Recently, a news report in Inquirer entailing the comment of Sen. Chiz Escudero to the action of PNP Chief dela Rosa broke in.

Based on the report, the Senator regarded the moves of the PNP Chief as for the camera and television.

“Uulitin ko, ‘yung ‘I will melt,’ mumurahin, papupush up-in, pang camera at pang TV lamang yun [I repeat, the ‘I will melt,’ the cursing, the push-up, are for the camera and the television],” said the Senator according to the report.

It was on Thursday during the Kapihan ng Senado when Sen. Escudero was asked of his comment.

Furthermore, based on the report, the Senator also questions why the PNP Chief has not shouted or required anyone to do a push-up inside the Camp Crame.

“Bakit wala syang pinag-push up o sinigawan o minura sa Crame? E dun mismo pinatay [Why have not required anyone to do a push-up or curse anyone inside the Crame? The killing happened there],” Sen. Escudero said.

According to the report, the Senator was referring to the case of Jee Ick Joo, the Korean businessman who was allegedly kidnapped and then killed inside the police headquarters.

Reportedly, there were also policemen who are accused of being involved in the alleged kidnapping and killing of the foreign businessman.
