DISAPPOINTED – Philippine National Police Chief Director Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa chided 7 cops who are allegedly involved in robbing Koreans in Angeles City.
Recently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has decided to suspend the war on drugs campaign to give focus to the cleansing of the national police power.
The move came after an alleged kidnapping and killing of a Korean businessman, Jee Ick Joo, wherein some cops are allegedly involved. Investigations regarding the incident are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, in Angeles City, there were also three South Korean golfers who had a traumatic experience here in the Philippines.
Based on a previous news report, Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino said that the cops were able to get into the place where the foreign golfers are staying in Angeles City under the illegal gambling raid as an alleged excuse.
Furthermore, it is stated that the Chief Superintendent said that the foreign golfers were robbed of their golf clubs, money, shoes, computers, and jewelry. A friend paid P300,000 for their release as they were held at the police station according to the report.
Recently, a video showing disappointed PNP Chief dela Rosa crossed the social media. The said video was posted on the Facebook page of News 5 Everywhere.
Based on the caption of the post, the PNP Chief chided the seven cops who were allegedly involved in the robbery of three Koreans in Angeles City.
Based on what can be seen in the viral video, the PNP Chief strongly questioned a cop on why he joined the alleged operation. A cop answered that it is a legitimate operation.
PNP Chief dela Rosa then burst as he emphasized on why is there a need for them to put the money in their pockets if it is a legitimate operation.
“Nagpulis kayo para mapahiya yung uniform? You became policemen to embarrass the uniform?],” the disappointed Chief interrogated the cops.
The video has already reached more than 46 thousand views and the post was shared 3,811 times as of Wednesday.
One netizen commented and encouraged the PNP Chief not to be very mad as the cops were already old enough and have decisions of their own. She stated an advice to the Chief to take care of his health and just give the appropriate punishment.
