Maharlika defended blogger Mocha Uson after G Toengi questioned Presidential Communications Sec. Martin Andanar about her qualification as an appointed board member of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
Recently, there were lots of happenings that sparked news headlines and elicited many reactions from different people. One of it is the appointment of entertainer-turned-blogger Mocha Uson in the MTRCB.
Uson who runs a blog which posts about Philippine political issues is a known supporter of Pres. Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte. There were those who agree with Uson’s appointment while there were those who are not into it.
However, recently, a video which was uploaded on YouTube showed a press interview with Presidential Communications Sec. Martin Andanar.
In the video, it could be seen and heard that G Toengi questioned the qualification of the entertainer-turned-blogger on her new post in the MTRCB.
Based on the video, G Toengi said that she has once seen an interview of Sec. Andanar which states that the blogger has qualifications. She asked the Secretary to elaborate the kind of qualifications Uson.
G Toengi admitted that she don’t really take Uson’s being a blogger as a qualification. In response, the Presidential Communications Secretary said that Uson was a choice of Pres. Duterte and for him, the people should respect the President’s decision.
He emphasized that Pres. Duterte has been put into office as the people trusted him and have confidence in him to be the leader of the country.
Meanwhile, Maharlika added to the answer of Sec. Andanar to the question of G Toengi. According to Maharlika, Mocha Uson has a bachelor degree. However, G Toengi reacted that it is a bachelor degree in medicine.
Maharlika further emphasized that Mocha Uson wanted to serve the country. She cited that there were even some congressmen who have no qualifications.
