3 South Korean Golfers Undergo Traumatic Experience in PH.

3 golfers from South Korea experience a traumatic experience in the Philippines when the policemen robbed them and held them at the station for eight hours.

In a previous news report, it is stated that a Korean businessman, Jee Ick Joo, has been killed inside the headquarters of Philippine National Police.

The alleged kidnapper of the Korean businessman is SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel. The wife of Jee Ick Joo has already confirmed that the golf set which was at the Gream Funeral Service in Caloocan belongs to Joo.

Investigations on the unexpected incident are still ongoing. A high-ranking official, Gen. Garbo, has been linked to the alleged kidnapper of the Korean businessman based on the report.

According to Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG) PS/Supt. Albert Ferro, the group is still working on an investigation as to who did the high-ranking official talked for Sta.Isabel’s accommodation in the AIDG.

Recently, another news report entailing the robbing of three South Korean golfers broke in. Based on a recent news report in Inquirer, three golfers from South Korea were robbed and then held at the Police Station until somebody paid for them to be released.

Under an illegal gambling raid alleged excuse on the 30th of December, policemen came to the place where the South Korean golfers are staying in Angeles City, province of Pampanga according to Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino.

He said that the South Korean nationals were robbed of their golf shoes, jewelry, golf clubs, a P10,000, and computers. The South Korean golfers visited the country just to play a sport – golf. However, a ‘traumatic experience’ has bee underwent by them as to Aquino.

For the release of the South Korean golfers who were held at the police station, a friend has paid P300,000 according to the Chief Superintendent.

Furthermore, based on the news report, the Chief Superintendent said that the investigation of the incident led to the dismissal of the seven cops who were found to be involved in the incident.

The South Korean golfers who have already told the South Korean Embassy about what happened to them here in the Philippines according to Aquino, had their freedom after eight hours.

On the other hand, Aquino said that criminal charges cannot be filed against the cops for it would need the return of the South Koreans to the country. He expressed that the victims were ‘terrified’ and they don’t want to return to the Philippines.
