Most of us were using a refrigerator to preserve and avoid foods from spoiling, but there are foods that you shouldn’t put inside the refrigerator.

The refrigerator is quite necessary in storing foods in order to preserve it and avoid from spoiling. Perishable goods such as pork, fish, beef, vegetables, and other perishable food required being stored under freezing temperature.

But there are some foods that are better to place under the counter top, table, or other cool, safe, and dry place unless they were opened or sliced. Here are some foods that you shouldn’t put inside the refrigerator.

Refrigerator

Melons

When buying a melon, look for a fresh one, which is heavy for its size and have a pleasing odor. Its flesh must look creamy and rich, then it should be placed at a room temperature with no packaging. When sliced it should only spend 2 days at room temperature and must consume immediately.

Peanut Butter

The natural variant would be gone if peanut butter will be placed inside the fridge, it must be store only in a cool and dry place for up to 3 months.

Potatoes

This food must not be refrigerated and should keep away from direct sunlight. It should be kept at a room temperature up to a month.

Avocados

It should be placed at a room temperature and in a cool and well-ventilated place. This fruit could only last for only 3 days. It can be only refrigerated when ripe.

Pomelo

When buying pomelo pick one with the light yellow skin and heavy for its size similar to the melon. Pomelo must be kept in a cool, dry place for only 2 months under a room temperature.
