Pres. Duterte expressed his belief on how the investors see his threats against the drug-involved personalities.
DUTERTE – With regards to the threats that he always give to the people involved in drugs, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte believes it to be ‘music to the investor’.
Pres. Duterte, the 71-year-old former mayor of Davao City, is known to be a tough-talking man who really hates illegal drugs. He has even been very vocal on his tirades to people who questioned or expressed concern on the increasing number of deaths in the Philippines in the previous months.
Towards the drug users and the people who are involved in the trade of illegal drugs, he has continuously warned them. Many drug users have already surrendered themselves to the authorities after the chief executive has been loud on his warnings.
In a previous news report, it is stated that the President has expressed that there is no stepping back on solving the drug problem in the country.
In a recent news report in Phil Star Global, it is stated that the President express his belief on how his warnings to the people involved in drugs appear to the investors.
Based on the news report, it is stated that Pres. Duterte told GMA News in an interview that maintaining an image that is positive will not give him any incentive as this is not ‘election’ anymore.
On his response with regards to the quest, if he regrets that his negative traits cover his accomplishments, the Chief Executive expressed that no prize awaits for being either negative or positive. He even said, “Give me an incentive.”
He also stood firm that the investors’ confidence is not a prize that could convince him to change his way of speaking. He even believes it to be ‘music to the investor’ based on the report. Pres. Duterte said that the investors will not step back ‘as long as they earn money’.
He noted that he never lost an election and that he already became a vice mayor, mayor, and congressman before he became the president.
Pres. Duterte expressed that he ‘never changed’ the way he talks except now that he is already a president. He considers his present position as ‘something new’ to him.
Pres. Duterte also expressed that he has no plan of running again in the next election. He even shared that he is ready to leave his post in two to three years if the type of government in the country is a federal system.
