Leni Reveals What’s Next After Resigning As HUDCC Chairperson

Vice Pres. Leni Robredo shared what is next after she left HUDCC post.

LENI – Vice President Leni Robredo revealed what is next for her after she stepped down from her post as chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.

After a text message which allegedly came from Cabinet Secretary Jun Evasco Jr. has reached Vice Pres. Robredo, she immediately decided to leave her post as the chairperson of the HUDCC.

The said text message entailed the order of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte through Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, his longtime aide, to the Vice President to  “desist from attending all Cabinet meetings” starting Monday.

News reports then broke in entailing that Vice Pres. Robredo is set to leave her post as HUDCC chairperson. Based on a previous news report, the Vice President has took to social media the list of her achievements as the chairperson of HUDCC.

According to the report, Vice Pres. Robredo exerted efforts on pushing for the construction of the 17,000 homes for the super typhoon Yolanda victims and as well as the cutting of the red tape.

Furthermore, Vice Pres. Robredo also came up with new policies and exerted efforts for 46,000 families to be provided with socialized homes. Surely, questions like ‘what is next for Leni?’ inevitably pops on the mind of people.

A recent news report in ABS-CBN News stated that Vice Pres. Robredo expressed that her office will continue to be aligned despite no longer having a position in the Cabinet of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

In a press briefing, she affirmed that her office has already begun working on other projects like the Angat Buhay Program. The Vice President also assured that her advocacy of providing roofs for Filipinos who have no homes will keep on going.

“Naiintindihan namin ang buong problema, magiging very active pa rin kami sa housing [We understand the whole problem, we will continue to be active in the housing],” Vice President Robredo said.

Furthermore, the report stated that the Vice President hopes that the Duterte Administration would continue what she has started in HUDCC.
