De Lima’s driver and bodyguard Ronnie Dayan and bigtime drug lord Kerwin Espinosa have clash of claims over the date of their first meeting when the drug money for her was given.
CLASH OF CLAIMS – is it 2014 or 2015 that the drug money allegedly intended for Senator Leila de Lima given?
The clash between the claims of Senator De Lima’s former driver, bodyguard and boyfriend, Ronnie Dayan, and alleged bigtime drug lord of Eastern Visayas, Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa Jr., had drawn public attention.
Dayan claimed that he first met Kerwin in August 2014 and met him again in October and three times in November of the same year.
He also claimed to have received money from Kerwin Espinosa, handed to him for Senator De Lima.
“Mga five times po. Ang perang ibinibigay sa inaabot sa akin, nasa paper bag na maliit. Hindi ko na po binibilang at hindi na rin sinasabi ni Kerwin kung magkano iyon (We met five times. The money handed to me is placed inside a small paper bag. I do not count it anymore and Kerwin does not say how much it is)”.
