DUTERTE GOVERNANCE - It has been months since the 16th President of the Republic, Rodrigo 'Digong' Duterte, assumed office. How well does the promise of 'change' taken place? Pres. Duterte is the president who made it into a landslide victory this 2016 national election. The Filipinos have undeniably looked up to the promise of 'change' vowed by the 71-year-old President. After assuming the highest post, he and his administration began the steps towards the set goals. Pres. Duterte has always been vocal of the hate he bears for drugs - it can even be regarded that the battle for drugs is his main focus. After more than two months in service, there were both accomplishments and issues. Undeniably, the President has sparked a lot of issues because of his statements which includes his use of 'gutter' language. He has bumped into several personalities - not just nationally but internationally. Within the country, the President has been on several headlines for rift with Sen. Leila De Lima. Other nations have also expressed concerns on the alleged EJK in the country under Pres. Duterte's leadership - incidents that the 71-year-old President undeniably dislikes. There were also instances when he has thrown intense remarks to leaders of other nations. On the other side of the horizon, many have witnessed the progress under the governance of Pres. Duterte. There were also numerous users and pushers who have voluntarily surrendered themselves and it includes significant personalities and even government officials.
