Swedish firm ‘Saab’ targets to open an office in Manila before 2016 comes to an end. The firm is the maker of multirole fighter aircraft JAS 39 Gripen.
A recent news report in Manila Live Wire entailed the plan of Saab to open an office in the Philippines. Based on the report, a Swedish official affirmed that it is in line with the backing of the sales campaign of its JAS 39 Gripen fighter aircraft to the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
“The new “Saab” office would be the center of the company’s marketing activities in the country,” said the executive vice-president of Saab, Carl-Erik Leek, as stated in the report.
Leek made his statement in Manila during the opening day of the Asian Defense and Security 2016 (ADAS 2016) exhibition.
