Zika Infection Newest Case Investigated by Team From DOH In Iloilo
Zika infection newest case is now being investigated by a team sent by Department of Health (DOH) epidemiology division in Iloilo.
DOH sent a team to a barangay in Iloilo to check the newest recorded case of Zika virus in the country. In Jaro City, Barangay Benedicto is the place where the 6th case of Zika infection was recorded according to a report on Wednesday (September 07, 2016).
The DOH team arrived in Iloilo on Tuesday (September 06, 2016) where the Zika was recorded. The team immediately took larvae and adult mosquito samples within the 200-meter radius from the area.
Along the community, the possible infection was also studied by the team by conducting a contact tracing. The places where the victim visited recently was determining by the team at this time and they also noted that the victim has no record of traveling abroad.
