Duterte Urged To Declare All Out War Vs Abu Sayyaf Group

The president gains more support in his strong stance against the bandit group Abu Sayyaf.

Senator Joseph Victor (JV) Ejercito expresses his support to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in his stance against the bandit group Abu Sayyaf who hails in Mindanao.

Ejercito said that if the Duterte administration wants to end the atrocities caused by the Abu Sayyaf, it must be more firm in its course of action as it paves the way to peace for Mindanao.

Abu Sayyaf claimed responsibility of the Davao Night Market blast on September 2, living 15 people lifeless and hurting over 60 others.

In an interview, Sen. Ejercito said, “Kung kayang tapusin na, tapusin na yan kasi hindi naman titigil yan eh. Kung kinakailangan mag-all out war, mag-all out war na”.

(If the government can put an end, it must put an end to it (ASG) because it will never cease. If needed to declare an all out war, declare an all out war)

Ejercito is in agreement with Duterte’s decision to declare a state of lawlessness in the country saying, “We cannot afford another bombing”.

“Precautionary measure itong ginawa niya”, the senator said, adding that the declaration allows the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to be alert and work together.

Ejercito said the state of lawlessness would probably last for the next weeks or months until the Abu Sayyaf is neutralized or if there are no other attacks.
