A Prayer For Davao And For The Philippines

What happened in Davao City on Friday, September 2, 2016, saddened and even broke the hearts, not only of the families of people who have lost their lives but for the whole Philippines as well.

These are the times when being together as one in prayer is the most powerful.

Join us in prayer.

prayer for davao

Loving Father, we acknowledge Your Sovereignty over all. You’re the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are the Savior that came to rescue us from our sins. You know all things. We are humbling ourselves before you, Lord.

And Lord, our God, in these times of great sorrow, suffering, and pain, we ask for Your comfort, especially to the families of the people who have lost their lives in Davao City and to all the people affected in the happening.

Let Your loving arms envelop their brokenness. Let Your healing power restore the lost hope. You’re the mighty God who had saved Your people before, and so, we trust and know that You are the same. You are never changing.

Lord, we pray for Davao City where threats of danger are rising. We pray for the whole Philippines, Lord, protect us from the works of the enemy. Let Your angels come and defend us.

Father, help the authorities in taking the right actions over the happenings in our country. Please, Lord, help and protect our President Rodrigo Duterte on his decisions as he’s the one You’ve appointed to lead the nation.

We always cling to Your promise that You will never leave us, nor forsake us; as Your Word declares.

We pray for strength and wisdom that only You could provide.

Father, we also ask for forgiveness for the sins that have caused to break Your heart. Guide us, Father, in the way that we should be going.

Your grace is always sufficient. Your love, no one can fathom.

Lord, we thank you for everything. And You deserve to be praised and to be worshiped. We bless Your Name, Father.

All the glory and honor, we bring back in the mighty Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
