Seguerra, Liza Diño Given Government Positions – Known Duterte supporters Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño have been given government positions by the Duterte administration among local entertainers.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that Diño was appointed as the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) to serve for three years.
Seguerra has been reportedly appointed to be the new chairman of the National Youth Commission, also for three years.
The appointment of the couple has been also confirmed on the Twit posted by the government-owned television, PTV4 (@PTVph).

The two have been known to have actively campaigned during the presidential race of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Last June, Duterte talked to the couple and asked to help his government promote the arts and culture in the Philippines.
Seguerra said that she is already meeting artist friends to help in coming up with a proposal on what to do.
“So magpupulong na kami ng mga artist friends, so that once we meet up with him, meron na kaming nakahandang mga pwedeng gawin,” Seguerra said as quoted in the report.
The couple already met with Duterte in Davao City and Diño expressed her gratefulness of the President’s recognition of the arts and culture in the country.
“Nakakatuwa kasi siya mismo yung nagsalita talaga, nagsabi sa amin na parang [It’s really amazing because he’s the one who talked about it and told us], ‘Let’s work on arts and culture. Mga Pilipino tayo [We are Filipinos]. You know how much I love this country,’” Diño said.
Meanwhile, Seguerra will be replacing former NYC Chairman Gio Tingson, and Diño will be replacing FDCPs chairman Briccio Santos.
Both Sequerra and Diño are in show business.
Seguerra was famous child star and then became a singer while Diño was former beauty queen and also became an actress.
