Duterte theme was used in a work of art by through a solar-painting style by two artists.

Duterte theme was used in a work of art of two artists from Baguio City and Benguet. The entire pieces has been Duterte inspired theme. The two artists, namely Jordan Mang-Osan from Bayabas, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet and Fred Agunoy from Greenwater, Baguio City.

Jordan Mang-Osan is known for his solar-painting style and he used his art to show support to the leadership of Duterte. It can be seen in his commendable portrait that his subject is President-elect Duterte. The artist himself did not vote for Duterte, yet learning about his plans, he eventually like the aspirations of the president-elect for the country.

In an interview, he explains the rationale behind, “Sa totoo lang, hindi ko siya binoto. Pero mayroon nag-suggest sa akin na gumawa ako ng artwork niya, parang gusto ko na rin siya. Nung nakita ko, maganda naman yung adhikain niya, ok naman pala kapag napapanood ko,” he said.

The artist decided to make a portrait of Duterte in his signature pose. He added that it is a challenge for him to pursue such work of art during rainy season because it needs rays of the sun over his roofless studio for his solar drawings to prosper.

On the otherhand, Fred Agunoy made a Duterte bike series. There are five Duterte Bikes created using materials like knobs, tire, shower head, and sink. He also admitted that he didn’t vote for him during the election but he supports the advocacy of Duterte in drugs. “Maganda yung aspect niya na rider, yun yung macho aspect niya na natuwa ako. Gumawa ako ng series ni Digong,” he added.
