OFW victim of “Bukas Bagahe” named Dante Labay Apologized

OFW from Dubai alleged to be a victim of “Bukas Bagahe” in NAIA on Monday apologized to personnel and authorities of the airport.

It can be recalled that a video of the OFW, Dante Labay, surfaced topic in the social media. The video shows a man protesting on the authority of NAIA claiming that his baggage was underweight and has missing padlock. Labay in disgust, speaks in a loud voice saying that his bag originally originally weighed 17kgs upon his check in, turned 7kg only.

The man added that he will report the incident to the President-elect Rodrigo Duterte and shouts for media’s attention to cover the situation. In his anger, he unceasingly say in loud voice that all of NAIA’s personnel must be fired after what they have done.

It also shows a NAIA personnel who tries to address the concern. In a Facebook post, an agent named Avon Aras came out explaining what truly happened in the airport after the video was cut.

It turned out that the tag of the bag, Labay indicated to be his luggage, was owned by a certain “Amo”.

On the other hand, in one of a post, a mother claimed that the luggage Labay mistakenly grab, was her child’s bag which has the same design with Labay.

On contrary, Labay apologized to the action he portrayed in the airport. It was an honest mistake on his side since the bag he claimed is similar to his luggage.
