During an exclusive interview on “Pipol” by Ces Drilon, Mayor Duterte’s mother Soledad revealed the weakness of the Davao city mayor by saying “”Ay, sus, chicks!” Soledad quickly quipped. But Duterte said: “I disagree with her.”

The late mother of Mayor Duterte also told Ces Drilon that the tough-talking mayor of Davao City has the “making of a leader.” In an exclusive interview, Soledad Duterte also noted that “The only one among my children kissing my hand… After analyzing all my children, I told my children: ‘Only Rody has the making of a leader,'” Soledad Duterte told ABS-CBN journalist Ces Oreña Drilon.

The presumptive president of the Republic of the Philippines, Rody Duterte is the second eldest among the five children but his mother also recalled that many people doubted that Duterte would end up successful in life, being a hard-headed boy both at home and in school.

Mayor Duterte also admitted during the Pipol interview “I got into so many troubles, embarrassing times. Mga rumble- rumble diyan. It took me about six years to finish high school. I got expelled (from Ateneo de Davao)….You know, I was not really sure if I could take the Bar,” he said.

The 71-year-old Davao City mayor also revealed that it was his “ever faithful” mother, he said, who constantly believed in him. Until now, Mayor Rody Duterte continues to ask for his parents’ guidance. He even cried during the time when various news network reported that he led in the unofficial counts of PPCRV.
