Sen. Vicente Sotto III ranks first in the most recent survey conducted.
Commissioned by the TV network ABS-CBN, the Pulse Asia recently conducted a survey on the statuses of the senatorial candidates.
Sen. Sotto now occupies the number one slot in the senatorial race for 2016 as the survey showed. In a different senatorial poll. Sen. Franklin Drilon holds the slot Sotto now owns.
A sure 49.4 percent of the surveyed populace would vote for Sotto if the election would be done any moment between March 29 up to April 3, the week that the survey happed, according to the nationwide survey released on Tuesday.
In cases of statistics, Drilon and Sotto are considered tied with 48.9 percent of surveyed people identifying their bet for the senate official.
With a plus-or-minus 1.5 percentage points of margin of error, the survey used face-to-face interviews with 4,000 registered voters.
Aside from Sotto and Drilon, 12 sentaorial candidates have a chance of winning based on statistics.
Out of the 50 senatorial runners, the following are probable winners of the 2016 Senatorial Election together with the percentage of winning:
former Sen. Francis Pangilinan (45 percent);
former Sen. Panfilo Lacson (43.9 percent);
former Rep. Juan Miguel Zubiri (37.3 percent);
former Justice Secretary Leila de Lima (36.5 percent);
Sen. Sergio Osmeña III (34.1 percent);
Sen. Ralph Recto (34);
and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao (33.6).
Sen. Richard Gordon with 32.6 percent chance of winning, Joel Villanueva with 32.3 percent, and Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros with 32.1 percent are also part of the so-called Magic 12.
A complete list for senatorial bets were already done by 34 percent of the voters according to the survey conducted.
Sotto affirmed that winning in the senatorial election is already enough for him. He is not really up to being the frontrunner in the senatorial race.
For him, his performance in the senate is what brought him to the top of the list.
