One of the country’s most popular party-list group, the sports-oriented PBA party-list is now campaigning for the candidacy of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for President and Sen. Bongbong Marcos for Vice President. According to the group their Duterte-Marcos tandem was gaining ground, as shown by recent survey results conducted by different agency.
PBA party-list has been at the forefront of the Alyansang Duterte-Bongbong Marcos or “AlDub,” which is also popular on social media among Duterte supporters. The group who are helping the tandem of Duterte and Marcos is positive that their tandem will score high despite the two candidates have different running mates.
Last month, the PBA party-list group hosted the first-ever AlDub Convention in Davao City. According to PBA spokesperson Koko Nograles his group support the AlDub tandem because both leaders carry sports development in their respective platforms.
Koko Nograles also revealed that since February 9, he personally led the PBA campaign in the provinces of Surigao, Agusan, Compostela Valley, Davao Oriental, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Socsargen, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Bohol, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya and Laguna.
Mark Sambar, the former PBA representative to the Philippine Congress led the party-list drive in Metro Manila for their support of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Bongbong Marcos. Meanwhile, the spokesperson of PBA, Koko Nograles said a Duterte-Marcos team-up fuses the best of the “Solid North” and the emerging “Solid South.”
