Veteran action star and one of the country’s most respected actor, Robin Padlla will continue to support Manny Pacquiao on his senatorial bid despite the recent controversy because of his statement against one of the marginalized sector in the country which drew negative remarks online particularly from the LGBT communities.
According to Robin Padilla he will continue to support the embattled senatorial bet but also gave the boxing champ some advice. He even addressed Pacquiao as “my senator,” and reminded the athlete-turned-politician that “public service is not selective.”
The veteran actor now host of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) stated that “Protect those who are few, poor and weak. Religion has nothing to do with it or around it. My support to you will not change. I still believe in your heart. Listen to it and trust it always. It will never mislead a HERO,” he wrote on Instagram.
Robin Padilla’s brother Rustom Padilla, one of the heartthrob actor during the 90’s and early 20’s Rustom Padilla, who publicly admitted that he is gay on the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” and is now known as BB Gandanghari.
The former Rustom Padilla calls not to vote Manny Pacquiao in the May elections, calling him “a bigot with a gender discrimination agenda.”
