Hundreds of supporters of the tough-talking mayor of Davao City, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte troop to the Comelec Main Office in Manila to support Mayor Duterte who was scheduled to appear before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to ensure that his certificate of candidacy is properly filed and submit additional documents.
The-year-old Mayor Rody Duterte of Davao City is replacing Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan’s former presidential bet, Martin who withdrew from the race on October 27.
According to the estimate of the crowd released by police authorities at around 8:00 AM, the crowd was at 500 people gathering outside Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila, early morning of December 8, 2015.
Various news media outlet were also present during the visit of Mayor Duterte in Comelec Central Office. Some news media outlets noted that the sea of supporters of Mayor Duterte were divided into two groups, one group was supporting the Duterte-Alan Peter Cayetano tandem while the other one was vouching for the Duterte-Bongbong Marcos pairing.
