Aspiring Filipino-Australian artist, Cyrus Villanueva made it to the Top 7 of the world-renowned “X Factor Australia” despite his performance that had judges divided as he earned enough votes to move on to the next round of the singing competition.
During the Tuesday’s episode of the show, the 19-year-old Villanueva move on to the next round along with other contestants Natalie Conway, Michaela Barano, Louise Adams, Big T (Tangaroa Te Tai), Mahalia Simpson and Jess & Matt.
The Boy group In Stereo were eliminated from the famous competition. Cyrus Villanueva, who is mentored by American rock icon Chris Isaak, performed Lenny Kravitz’ “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over.”
Cyrus Villanueva’s rendition of the popular hit song of Lenny Kravitz, impressed his coach but it did not sit well with the other judges James Blunt and Guy Sebastian who thought that the song choice did not fall within the rock-themed episode of the show.
