SWS Survey Results: Grace Improved Lead While Roxas Surpassed Binay

The Social Weather Station (SWS) released the latest survey results for the preferred presidential candidates, the results was released officially by Businessworld on Sunday. According to the latest SWS Survey results, Sen. Grace Poe further improved her lead while Mar Roxas leaped to second place surpassing the previous leader, Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Based upon the SWS Survey, Sen. Grace Poe has a preference rate of 47 percent, which is considered as five percentage points higher than the June 2015 survey results.

Former DILG Secretary and Pres. Aquino’s anointed successor, Manuel “Mar” Roxas II grabbed the second place surpassing Vice Pres. Binay.

The latest SWS Survey was conducted last September 2 to 5 or less than a week after Mar Roxas was endorsed by President Benigno Aquino III. The survey results noted that preference for Mar Roxas jumped to 39 percent, from only 21 percent in June.

Vice President Jejomar Binay, the former leader of previous presidential preference survey slid to third place, with only 35 percent saying they believe Binay is one of the best leaders to succeed Aquino.

The other presidential candidate who made it to the elite list of possible president in the 2016 elections were Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 16 percent, followed by Sen. Chiz Escudero with five six percent, Sen. Bongbong Marcos with five percent, Manila Mayor Erap Estrada with three percent and Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago with two percent.
