Alden Richards of the popular AlDub tandem visited Lucena City as he graced the “Bb. Niyogyugan Festival 2015” beauty pageant as fans greeted him with frenzy. As the 23-year-old Alden Richards appeared on the stage of the jam-packed Quezon Convention Center (QCC) and began serenading the 21 muses from different towns, the venue erupted with the shrieks of fans.
Fans of the famous love team “AlDub” were desperate to hug, kiss or have a “selfie” with the matinee idol while overeager admirers, most of them teenage girls, slipped through the tight cordon of QCC security force and rushed on stage.
The Kapuso actor, the other part of the AlDub tandem gamely welcomed his fans and allowed them to get a hug, kiss and photos of the actor. The AlDub tandem is composed of Alden Richards and Nicomaine Dei “Maine” Mendoza or “Yaya Dub” they started their love team through Eat Bulaga.
During Alden Richards visit to Lucena City, the QCC security force noted that the visit of the actor is the most riotous crowd that they’ve handled so far in the city.
Aside from the crowd inside the QCC, the guards also learned that a huge crowd was also waiting outside the dome-like venue at the back of the provincial capitol building just to have a glimpse of Alden Richards. The actor left the venue through the side exit under heavy guards.
The AlDub tandem is now considered as one of the most popular love team in the Philippines, Alden Richards and Yaya Dub started the AlDub tandem when they played in one of Eat Bulaga’s segment, the “Juan For All, All for One” featured in a “Kalyeserye.”
Maine Mendoza “Yaya Dub,” is a native of Bulacan province, she became an online hit for her impersonations of personalities such as TV host Kris Aquino using the mobile application Dubsmash. The accidental love team has been labeled by millions of fans nationwide and worldwide as “AlDub.”
