Netizens Posted Photos of Mt. Bulusan Eruption Online

PHIVOLCS confirmed that Mt. Bulusan erupted on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015, the eruption occurred not only once but twice. Although there is no reported damage as of posting time, netizens took to Twitter and other social media sites and posts some photos of the Mt. Bulusan explosion.

According to the latest report of GMA News Online, they contacted Rudy Lacson, senior science researcher at PHIVOLCS, who noted that there’s still a chance that Mount Bulusan will experience another phreatic explosion and anytime it will pour out ashes.

PHIVOLCS also added that there is no danger of any magma flow and the danger posed will be caused by ashfall. The senior science researcher also pointed out that Mt. Bulusan still within normal levels, though people should still stay out of the 4-km danger zone just to be safe.
