One of the most popular senator in the Philippines, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero finally revealed his plans for the 2016 national elections during his visit with the members of the Filipino community and media during his visit to the United States of America. The senator was accompanied by his wife, Heart Evangelista, who celebrated Philippine Independence Day in Los Angeles at a community gala.

According to the 45-year-old Senator Francis Escudero, he is still not sure about running in the 2016 polls, but bared plans to have a baby next year with his wife Kapamilya actress Heart Evangelista, whom he married just last February 2015.
Although the Senator is considered as one of the most popular senators among overseas voters in the United States, he noted that his trip is not a head start for the 2016 elections. He was quoted as saying “I’m not yet a declared candidate and neither have I declared my intentions for 2016, if at all, so [I’m not here] to fund-raise,” he said.
When the senator was asked by the media whether he is campaigning right now, but the senator replied that he is not campaigning because he is not a candidate yet.
Some netizens speculated that Senator Escudero is seeking for a higher office, but only now that he entertained questions from the local Philippine media and admitted he has no clear political plans yet for 2016.
