Asked to comment on the continuing slams between Senator Grace Poe and the camp of Vice President Jejomar Binay, President Benigno Aquino III posed a question to bickering politicians as he challenges a higher level of debate during the run-up to the 2016 national elections.
“Why are you so overreacting?” Aquino posed.
The president has made his comments following the swaps of accusations and retorts between two camps.
Binay’s ally earlier questioned Poe’s qualifications to seek the higher office.
“This early, when it’s, in a sense, like black propaganda that is at the forefront, the appeal is—especially for those who are younger than us—can we not help them change the system to something better and bring the debate to a more
intelligent and studied level?” said Aquino.
Appealing “as a citizen”, Aquino said he would rather steer clear of the issue as President even joking that he had not been authorized to become the spokesperson for either camps.
