Joseph Yeo Third Barako Bull Named as PBA Player of the Week

Former Ginebra guard Joseph Yeo became the third Barako Bull player who earned the Player of the Week award for the period of May 18-24, 2015. The citation given to Joseph Yeo is the third straight award given to a Barako Bull player who is currently making a great start in the PBA Governor’s Cup with an unbeaten 4-0 slate.

Joseph Yeo who is also known in the PBA with the monicker the “Ninja” adjusted very well with the Energy Cola after his former team, Barangay Ginebra shipped him to Barako Bull in exchange for fellow guard Sol Mercado.

The 31-year-old Joseph Yeo scored 11 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter against Meralco Bolts and tallied six assists, two rebounds and one steal.

According to Coach Koy Banal, the former De La Salle University Green Archers showed flexibilityas he played dual roles as playmaker and a scorer aside from providing leadership for guards like RR Garcia and Carlo Lastimosa.

Aside from Joseph Yeo, the other Barako Bull player who were named as PBA Player of the Week were former Ginebra players JC Intal and Dylan Ababou who received the citation during the previous weeks.
