Support pours in for another Filipina on death row as family seeks help to save the OFW Jennifer Dalquez in Dubai.
Dalquez was sentenced to death by a United Arab Emirates (UAE) court after being convicted of killing her employer in December.
Rajima, mother of the convicted OFW, became emotional in seek of support to free her daughter.
“Nananawagan po ako sa ating presidente, sana tulungan niya kami, tulungan niyo po kami”, she appealed.
The older Dalquez shared that her daughter fought against her employer who attempted to rape her.
Earlier, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed to the family that Dalquez is set for a death penalty by Al Ain trial court last May 20.
DFA Gensan Head Ebrahim Zailon said that the government is doing everything to help the convicted OFW and has extended all assistance to her.
VP Jejomar Binay ensured that the government will help appeal in her sentence as Dalquez insists that it was a self defense.
Other groups are also taking steps to help the convicted Dalquez and even the Migrante.
