Gov’t Opens 3, 000 Jobs, Opportunities for Youths

Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and Department of Tourism (DOT) opened more than 3, 000 jobs in an effort to sustain the Aquino’s administration’s good governance initiative.

The job vacancies are posted in a job matching site (kalibrr.com) which partnered with the Magumbayani Initiative to widen the government’s recruitment reach and attract vibrant and young Filipinos to join the civil service.

In a statement issued Thursday, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima said that there are 3, 200 vacant positions, need to be filled up to sustain the President’s good governance program.

The secretary added that the DOF itself has already received 244 applications for the 41 positions it opened in the department.

BIR needs the most new hires with 3, 211 entry-level vacant positions, followed by the DOF’s 41, DBM’s 31, DOTC’s 33 and four for the DOT.
