The ex-girl friend of Floy Mayweather Jr has filed a lawsuit against the recently declared champ of the “Fight of the Century” following denouncement.
The defamation suit claimed that the undisputed welterweight champion lied in a recent interview about the girlfriend being intoxicated with drugs during a domestic abuse incident in 2010.
Josie Harries, who has three children from Mayweather, is asking for $20 million in damages after Mayweather told Yahoo’s Katie Curic in April that she was on drugs and that the boxing champion was just trying to restrain her in the altercation, according to a CNN report.
Mayweather pleaded guilty to 14 months of misdemeanor battery and two counts of harassment after he was arrested in 2010 for punching Harris in Las Vegas.
According to the CNN report, Mayweather was sentence to three months in jail but only served two.
