It’s a do-or-die match for the Philippine volley belles against Kazakhstan to advance in the next leg of the Asian Volleyball Championships, a win the Filipinas have to set.
As loud yells and cheers covered the PhilSports Arena, the bout between two teams became even more intense laying close-running sets.
After a close rally between teams, Jaja Santiago closed the first set 25-19.
The second set came in with a good momentum for the Filipinas, especially for the team captain Alyssa Valdez who contributed powerful spikes behind injury, totally lambasting the visitors 25-11.
For third set record, the Kazakhstan volley belles put up a very close bout determined to recoup but it was a dead set for the visitors.
Filipinas indeed showed supremacy in the match as they replied Kazakhstan finally owning the third set, the win, 28-26.
