What MUPH org say about the Voice For Change of Michelle Dee?
Miss Universe 2023 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee is finally getting her Voice for Change prize from Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH).
In a previous article, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee revealed that she is still actually waiting for her Miss Universe Voice for Change Award. To recall, she won this along with Puerto Rico’s Karla Guilfú and Angola’s Ana Coimbra.
Dee was still waiting for the release of her VFC award and it was for advocating awareness and support for people on the autism spectrum. Her brother is in this spectrum and she clearly understands the challenges that come with this. She has a full understanding of her advocacy, hence, the recognition.
The Voice for Change award includes a $12,000 cash prize.
“At present, I’m still waiting for the release of the VFC award and I’m hoping that they do before the next set of winners,” Dee said.
Recently, this issue has been shed light. As it appeared, the delay was accordingly due to the communication process in the national tilt as confirmed by the Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) and not the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).
The MUPH apologized for the delay in releasing Michelle’s Voice for Change award.
In a statement, the MUPH confirmed that she will be presenting her Voice For Change award to the Autism Society of the Philippines. The administrative and accounting personnel have resolved the matter already.
In the same statement, the local organization expressed that despite the end of the MU stint of Dee, she remained a staunch ally of her advocacy proving her “solid commitment” making her a “real queen”.
As much as we all know, the beauty queen has also been a longtime goodwill ambassador of the Autism Society Philippines (ASP).
