TV star Anne Curtis reached another milestone as her official twitter account gained more than eight million followers making her as the most followed personality in the country, Thursday.

Celebrating this achievement in the micro-blogging platform, Curtis’ hash tagged #8milliANNE which topped the worldwide trend today.
The actress who created her twitter account dated march 2009 became the first Filipino to reach the count. Curtis was labeled as a “top-influencer” on the social media in the Asia-pacific.
Curtis now ranks 168th worldwide having the numerous followers ahead of Pope Francis, TIME magazine, Adam Levine and Hugh Jackman.
Aside from Curtis several Filipino celebrities also made massive counts in the platform following. Belonging to the top are Angel Locsin with 5.96 million followers, Vice Ganda with 5.09 million, Angelica Panganiban having 4.67 million, Kathryn Bernardo with 4.42, and Yeng Constantino with 4.24 million followers all as of February 17.
Completing the top 10 are KC Conception, Bianca Gonzales, Luis Manzano, and Christine Reyes.
