Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis was tapped by one of the most promising mall developer in the country, CityMall Commercial Centers, Inc. as its brand ambassador. CityMall is owned and managed by DoubleDragon, the property firm of Mang Inasal founder Edgar “Injap” Sia II and Jollibee Foods owner Tony Tan Caktiong, and Henry Sy’s SM Investments.
According to Injap Sia, the Ilonggo entrepreneur who found Mang Inasal from a vacant space inside Robinsons Iloilo, noted that Anne Curtis is the perfect celebrity to endorse CityMall.
The CityMall projects or the community mall is envisioned by its founders as an “everyday mall” in the neighborhood. During the announcement of the 29-year-old Anne Curtis as CityMall’s brand ambassador, Injap Sia was quoted stated the following:
“We believe that Anne is an incredibly influential celebrity with aspirational qualities. Her genuine and lovable personality has enabled the everyday Filipino to relate to her. This is exactly why we feel that she is the perfect face behind CityMall and its vision to uplift the standard of community malls across the country,” Sia, DoubleDragon chairman and CEO, said.
The Kapamilya host and actress on her part said that she is happy to work with the CityMall brand, the actress even stated that the CityMall will be focused on developing areas in the country and she is very happy to represent a company that is playing such an important role in enriching the lives of our fellow Filipinos, especially those in the provinces.
The first-ever CityMall will be opened in Roxas City, Capiz on March 27, 2015, with a special appearance from Anne Curtis. Several other CityMalls are being constructed around the country for the year 2015 alone. The company has already secured 20 sites to date, and puts the company in line with its goal of completing 25 CityMalls by end of 2015 and 100 CityMalls by 2020.
