Kobe Paras Scored 18 Points But Failed Against Bishop Montgomery (Video)

Filipino High School basketball phenom in the United States scored 18 points but was not enough to secure a victory against the highly-ranked Bishop Montgomery Knights as his team LA Cathedral High was defeated with the final score at 76-69 lost against the no. 2 team in California.

The 17-year-old Kobe Paras showed his vastly improved offense but their opponent steadied down the stretch and went on 7-0 run in the final 53 seconds of the game as Montgomery improved their win-loss record to 24-1.

The LA Cathedral Phantoms of Kobe Paras is now down to 15-5 win-loss record in the competition although his team is powered by three Fil-Am high school superstars and other international recruit which include Brazilian big man Lucas Siewert.

The defeat of the LA Cathedral is their second straight loss in this season’s basketball tournament featuring the best teams in the state of California.

The son of the PBA’s only rookie of the year and MVP Benjie Paras is currently being touted as one of the most promising high school varsity player in the US and already committed playing for UCLA in the NCAA.
