Bacolod-born reggae singer Kokoi Baldo performed one of the country’s most popular reggae song “Bilog na Naman ang Buwan” during the Knockout Rounds of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 aired on Saturday. The reggae singer who is famous also in the island of Boracay received a standing ovation after his performance.

Kokoi Baldo is a member of The Voice Ph Kids champion coach Sarah Geronimo and considered as one of the title contender in the second season of the top-rating and Twitter trending singing competition in the Philippines.
The 35-year-old Kokoi Baldo had almost everyone in the studio dancing to his cover of the song popularized by Papadom of Tropical Depression, one of the most popular reggae band in the country during early 90’s.
Kokoi Baldo was paired in the group of three which also include former Rivermaya frontman Jason Fernandez and aspiring singer Shaira Cervancia.
The reggae singer retained his spot with Team Sarah and will be moving on to the next round of the competition, the Live Performance with teammates Jason Fernandez, Jason Dy, Mark Douglas Dagal, Monique Lualhati and Poppert Bernadas.
